Is There free web design software that using ftp , i have a apple mac so it would be good if it was compatible with mac but windows is ok

1. http://www.coffeecup.com offers both a free WYSIWYG editor as well as a free FTP program. I have yet to see any free versions that offer both. If they did exist you whould be able to find them at either http://www.sourceforge.org or http://www.freewarefiles.com Hope this helps
2. I love FireFTP. It is an add-on for Firefox, which is available for the Mac. It embeds an FTP client right into your browser. When you activate it, it loads in to a new tab. It can store settings for your various FTP accounts and is very easy to use. You can find it and other FTP software here: http://www.free-software-catalog.com/catalog.php?CategoryID=27 If you are looking to edit web pages right on your web site (ala FrontPage) then try Notepad++ with it's FTP Synchronizer plug-in. You can find that here: http://www.free-software-catalog.com/software.php?SoftwareID=58 It lacks a Wysiwyg editor, but it is a very good editor for HTML, Javascript, PHP, and much more.
