How does anyone make any money off of parked domain names when so many of the links are unrelated to a search?

- Most of them are just looking to sell the domain to someone who might want it. They put advertisement there just for the stragglers, probably makes a sale every once in a while.
- If your parked domain is optimized the majority of the links should be relevant. Even at that, unless you have good domain name that receives a lot of type in traffic you probably won't make much money. If it pays for the renewal with some additional profit is typically what I hear people are earning, myself included. It's a great way to obtain the domain names you want and sit on them until you are ready to develop the name.
- Parked Domains. There are several ways to make money with parked domains, including the 'Catch & Release' technique. Here are some easy and inexpensive ways to earn from parked domains and free one-page sites. 1. The easiest means of making money with an idle domain name is to forward it to a company that will revenue share its ad content with you. There are a couple of third party facilitators who in addition to sharing revenue, will place your domain into a bidding forum. This free service is advantageous to all parties and supports any amount of domains. 2. Register your Domain from a registrar or transfer to a registrar/host that will support a free one-page web site. There are many possibilities with this page. Let me give you one or two and you will get the idea. Run a free Amazon affiliate bookstore and place some Google Ads in the margin. Place links to the site from your blog. The link will have a professional looking feel. I consider a hosted one-page site as parked until you expand with it. In addition, remember, you can change the site to a 'This Site for Sale' and back again to what ever. Speculators who actively advertise that a domain is for sale should seek a host that offers eye-catching graphics. 3. Use you new Domain(s) as a funnel for an existing site. Make sure your registrar gives you full DNS control so you can forward the domain to a site where you want the peeps to land. Bob may purchase several domain names that circle around fly rod stuff. He forwards these new URLs to Bobsbigflyrods.com. Consider making the forward a 301 permanent change of address for better SEO. 4. Make your page a 'Coming Soon' page. My company provides professional looking templates for this. Upload your photo or company logo and let people know you are moving right along. There will be some Google ads that are content centered as well. 5. Become a Domain Reseller. I sell domain names as well as other internet services. I also sell stores to people who want to become a Domain Reseller. Bob visits my store and purchases Mountainflyfishing.biz and several other domain names. Until he does something with the URL, it is parked by my company logo. I get revenue from Google ads and free advertising. In addition, since I sold the store to myself, I get a small cut as well, as a super reseller. Many people are still acquiring domains for future reselling rewards. The upcoming release of .ASIA is sure to create frenzy. Realize that Government entities, registered Trade Marks, etc get first shot before public access. I have been actively involved in e-Commerce for over 10 years. As a multiple store owner and affiliate marketer, I have experienced the wrong ways, the right ways, and just as important, the easy ways. I believe that "there is no free lunch" and "if your not having fun you are not doing it right".
