Domain Name & Search Engine Marketing?

Which is a better domain name - in terms of higher search engine positioning? I need to know if someone types in dayton used cars that my domain name will be at the top of the search engine and am not sure if smashing the words together or hyphenating them makes a difference. Ex: www.daytonusedcars.com www.dayton-used-cars.com

  1. I would buy both of them regardless so if someone else decides to open this business they will not be tempted to mimic your name, and if they do this option will not be available to them. We can help you with any local search marketing as well once you get started. http://www.brickmarketinglocal.com
  2. From an SEO standpoint, it makes zero difference. From a marketing standpoint, use the name without dashes. It'll be easier for a prospect/customer to remember.
  3. buy them both it makes no difference
  4. I suggest you follow Adam R's response. Good luck!
  5. Either will do the same trick. Google will only however give you this opportunity with domain names. When you set up your categories use dashes "dayton.com/cars-used-new" not "dayton.com/carsusednew" FYI - when you refer to your domain in marketing material or on the website make it www.DaytonUsedCars.com it is easier for the user to remember
