1. what matters if people can recall the domain name. what counts is the tags that are tied to your pages. more tags more hits from the search engines.
2. No I believe the relevence of the domain name and the content of the pages are the only important factors. Besides incoming links etc. Otherwise 1google.com would be higher than google.com Good Luck
