How to be successful in domain and web hosting reseller business?

Hi, I have a website and have a reseller hosting plan. I want to automate registering domain name and selling web hosting plans. How can I do that? I also want a payment gateway so that I can sell my services and get cash immediately. Please advise me.

1. There is a difference between being a reseller for hosting companies and being an affiliate. As a reseller, I believe many companies will allow you to buy bulk hosting, then create sub accounts for your customers. It is a semi- automated process, but you are still in charge of pricing, etc. As an affiliate, you simply point people to your link, and the company for which you are an affiliate will take care of every detail, then send you a check when you make a sale. Ultimately, you have to decide which is more important to you, hands-off income, or making more money by setting pricing, hosting space, etc. If you are good at finding qualified prospects, then being an affiliate is easier to do, and could free you up to concentrate on getting more customers.
