How can I get my Domain name back?

I bought some cheap domain names from a reseller and now, I think I've been scammed because they don't seem to function anymore. All my sites are down. This is very important to me. Can someone please help me with some advice? thanks.

1. Did the domain names come with web hosting? If you just bought domain names without hosting, then you wont see any pages, but you will 'own' the domain name - you can buy web hosting to make them work. If you bought web hosting with your domain names, then you need to speak to them. It maybe your webhost may have a short term temporary problem keeping your websites live.
