Domain names for cheap?

I have a domain name with Yahoo. I forward it to the site hosted free by geocities.com But Yahoo's price went up to $35/yr now! I want to move my domain name out of Yahoo, but also want the ability to forward it to my geocities URL. Any suggestions for which domain service I shd use? If it doesnt allow forwarding, whats the cheap work-around? thanks!

  1. Godaddy is the world biggest domain registrar. The price of a .com domain is usually $10.00 but you can get it for $7.49 if you use the link at the bottom of this page http://www.hosttell.com
  2. Definitely avoid Yahoo. You won't get any support, and their management interface is terrible. GoDaddy is very good, I can recommend it. I recently transferred a domain from Yahoo to GoDaddy -- guess which side went super-smoothly, and which side was a royal pain in the you-know-what? Go to another vendor if you like, but don't try to save a couple of bucks by doing so -- if you want to do anything with your domain, the quality of service will really matter.
