Anyone know a good free web design software?

For someone who don't know much about web design, easy to use?

1. Yes.... free and good as you can get: http://www.joomla.org
2. Gimp, Paint.NET.
3. If you are going to just be typing in the HTML and CSS, any text editor can work. Notepad, Notepad++, Microsoft Frontpage, etc. If you want a web designer that is a WYSIWYG, (What You See is What You Get), like Frontpage or Dreamweaver, you're gonna have to pay for it.
4. For handcoding, I'd highly recommend Notepad++ For WYSIWYG (which will get you garbage code), you can try Kompozer (it's free).
