I am considering starting a small-business marketing and public relations consultation service that will assist clients with evaluating their business' focus and needs, including hands-on logo design, web site design, print/online advertising, and other marketing materials. Can anyone steer me in the direction as to where I can find how much these services are valued at and/or how much these projects/hourly services go for from your past experience? Samonuso's comments made me feel like I should give some more info: I am/was a marketing communications manager and lost my job in November. My duties included, but were not limited to logo design, website design, advertising, desktop publishing, marketing strategy, public relations coordination, marketing material distribution, company exposure, packaging, and more. My experience also includes quantitative and qualitative research. So, as you can see, my experience is more than just graphic design. To keep busy, I have been assisting a local business with starting their marketing efforts and realized that I could help out other small businesses with limited budgets while I am looking for a new job. If I get enough interest, I want to be able to offer competitive and fair prices for my services. Hopefully that clears up any vagueness about what I am looking to offer as a service.
