  1. The cpanel is probably for the website. I personally run sites out of my house from a server computer, with Linux. Linux is free and legal to dl off the internet. Just get apache2 and learn how to set it up...Have fun.
  2. get xamppp and host it by via your computer and get port 80 fowarded and get a no ip or any ip that redirect you, and like my foxlvon.oo.lv
  3. CPanel is a web management console for web based services such as email and the like. If you want to register a domain name, use any domain name registrar on the internet. There are many out there, most of which offer hosting services in conjunction with the the domain name registration, but most of them will just register the domain name for you. As far as the server goes, any decent computer will work, and by all means use a server operating system. Don't go trying to host websites on a Windows XP machine. Beyond the physical layer, the most important thing if you want to host websites, especially if you want to host multiple domains on one connection is LOTS of bandwidth. If you have the availability, go for a dedicated server connection which will provide maximum sustained bandwidth.
  4. For webhoasting u needs international standard setup and domain lecences need to contact an ISP around you they might help you.
  5. I'm going to also recommend you start with a Reseller account. Whichever companies you narrow your decision down to, be sure to just do your own homework on each company, such as reading reviews, testing their support etc. I also recommend you visit this site to also increase your knowledge about which route to take and useful advise: http://www.resellerguide.com/ They also have recommended web host there as well. I think you need to know more on what you want to do before you want to start your own hosting company. A lot of things you need to figure out, such as: 1. Where you want to host the hosting? 2. What kind of customers you are targeting? Like is it US/Europe/Asia? 3. What kind of hosting service you want to provide? Is it just webhosting? 4. Do you include email hosting as well? 5. Does web design included? 6. If you do not include web design, do you have any software for your client to DIY their website themselves? The questions go on.... well .. I think you need to have a clear mine on what you want to do with the hosting company before you could proceed further. Good luck to you! Cheers!
  6. 1. You can rent and pay monthly for a server from dedicated server hosting providers. 2. Or you can buy a server and do colocation at a data center. It is not practical to host a server at home though. The first choice is easier because you can get a server located anywhere in the world so you can shop around for the best service and price. A hosting provider can help you install cPanel, register domain and configure your server. You can look for one at http://bestdedicatedserver.org However, if you still not clear of what to do with the server, I suggest you read this article first: http://hostingsthatsuck.com/affiliate-commission-or-reseller-residual-income/ There may be easier solutions to what you want to achieve. Good luck.
  7. Hello, Cpanel is just a Panel through which you can auto generate hosting pack on your server. For booking / registering domains you need to approach some ICANN accredited registrar. Search in google for "ICANN Accredited Registrar in India" you will get few listed. Regards, Vinay http://www.netlynx.com ( ICANN Accredited Registrar )
