What web design topic should I select for competition?

I am participating in a web design competition. I've to design web pages on any topic. I want a unique topic. This competition is held by Karachi University and its in Sindh, Pakistan. May I able to receive your valuable ideas?

1. I would go with a good current topic.. maybe something like Gas Alternatives, both vehicles and other gas powered machines.
2. Blending high-tech info--like sony's new pcs with a similar themed site--(if the theme is high tech)streamlined, sleek, etc. What is unusual? What does nobody know about. Choose that.
