Pakistani - Immigration to Canada?

Hello, I'm sick of Pakistan. Games of lifes, Corruption and no peace is what I hate very much now. I used to be patrotic at the age of 7-14 but now, I'm 15 and I'm hating Pakistan. Even when I hear pakistani songs I don't get goosebumps as I used to get before. There are no international companies supporting pakistan. Especially when it's come to financinal companies such as PayPal or eBay. I'm going to finish my O levels this year and A levels when I reach 18. I'm planning to start searching for a job at the age of 17 and I bet I won't find any good paying salaries like Canada,UK or USA. First of all, I'm Muslim and I'm peace loving man. I hate too much voilence. I would like all of you to help me out what I should do to get a family-immigration visa. My future career would be related to web development(designing and programming), Networking and server administrations. I can speak english, write and hear english easily. Regards, Muhammad Haris

  1. Muhammad, I really admire you. So often, individuals of Middle Eastern descent are sterotyped as violent and irrational. It's refreshing to hear your point of view on the world (and at such a young age). I wish you much success, and am confident you will go far. To answer your question, yes, it's possible to immigrate to Canada. However, immigration to a foreign country often requires a skill or trade (usually backed by a college-level education). Even in Canada, USA, or UK, you have to have skills, aptitude, and the right attitude to get ahead and make good money. Just from reading your question, I can definitely tell you have the right attitude, so you're already on a winning track. You can read more about Canada's immigration laws at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/ As for your career in web design, I'm also a web designer working for a major company in the US. Web development is a fun and fast paced career to enter into. You have an excellent opportunity since you're at such a young age and with access to the internet. If I were you, I'd begin learning the basics of web design and development. Next, I would recommend you get some experience and build a portfolio by volunteering your web skills to the community. Good experience and portfolio will put you ahead of the rest. The United Nations offers a volunteer program called Online Volunteering. It offers people all over the world an opportunity to work remotely from home and volunteer on a variety of projects throughout the globe (and often web design and development is one of them). This is an awesome way to get good experience... You can learn more about UN Online Volunteering at: http://www.onlinevolunteering.org To get started on learning web design and development I'd recommend you visit (they offer free tutorials): http://www.w3schools.com And, an excellent forum for all kinds of topics on web design and development is a site called SitePoint. Visit them at: http://www.sitepoint.com I use SitePoint almost daily, it's an excellent resource for just about anything you could want to know about web design and development. Good luck to you my friend!
