can you use other peoples logos on your website if you are selling a complimentry service, eg. seo services?

  1. Logos are usually trademarked, and if you feature them on your site without permission you would be violating the trademark.

  3. I agree many logos are tradmarks. This can be very serious. And if its not trademarked it is still bad buisness to "steal" anothers logo. Tradmarking and design takes money and time and it just wrong to take from anothers site. Now if they have information or pictures you might like to use on your site ask them. Many times others will allow this as long as you give them a link or credit.
  4. As others have said, logos are typically trademarked or copywrited. If you want to feature them on your site, you need to contact the company and get permission to do so. You may, to help your cause, want to set up a link to their site...and make sure you tell them you intend to do so. Its better to play on the safe side than be fined $10k or more.
