  1. It is possible for some tlds
  2. It's possible, but in most instances every possible 3 letter domain is already taken. In fact, your 3 letter and 4 letter domain names are often worth more then longer domain names. When selecting a domain name try not to make it too long. And it's fine if you need to use a single dash, but not more then 1 dash. Make your domain name something that others will remember. Include a keyword, if possible, that relates to the content or theme of your website. There are services out there that allow you to 'backorder' a domain name or to search through the thousands of daily expired domain names and have a chance to buy them. Lastly, try to buy a TLD domain name having .com, .org or .net. While consumers are beginning to buy some of the other domain extensions like .info, and also some country specific domains which are on the rise, the fact is the .com is still the best choice followed by .org and .net. Good Luck!
  3. Because they are all taken! Starting with aa.com American airlines
