How do i register a domain name in the uk?

I've got a domain name in mind which I know is registerd until tomorrow.Can I use that knowledge to register the domain myself before the owner re-registers it..And how do I do it? cheers

1. Most likely the owner knows this and registers tomorrow
2. Usually, when a domain expires the owner has a chance to re-register it if he hasn't already. If not, it takes a while before domain registars pick it up. You can either contact the owner of the domain directly to pick it up or they are sites that pick up "expired" domains that were once active.
